Giving Thanks

Here's the silliest group of girls (minus one Emily) at Grandma and Grandpa Buckholts' house at Thanksgiving this year. It was super fun to have all my sisters and their spouses plus all the crazy kids running around the house. Some of the grand kids have allergies to cats and dogs and it's the first year in a long time that there haven't been animals at the Buckholts' house so we could all be there together. Chris, Noah, and Mason playing Trouble. Mason was pretty good at playing it.

The table looked awesome and the food was so yummy. I went to an hour and a half Zumba (cardio Latin dancing) class in the morning so I felt less guilty about eating everything that I wanted.
Gwen was a bit worn out at the end of the night. She almost fell asleep in her peppermint ice cream which she calls "Santa ice cream".
Even though she didn't get a nap at all that day, Emily managed all the excitement very well. She's so cute in her green jammies. It really shows off her red hair.
At the beginning of the month we went with Laura and Noah to the Festival of Trees. Emily and Gwen had so much fen for a few hours and then they both hit their limit at the same time. I thought I was going to lose it for a moment as they both screamed their way through the festival. Everyone keep looking at us because they were really very loud. We did have a fun time before that. Gwen even got to see "beeneenanas" (ballerinas) and got a treat from Santa.

It's really hard to get a couple of crazy 3 year-olds to hold still for a picture.

Jonathan is finishing up his last finals this week. He's been feeling really good about them. On Friday we have an appointment with his doctor to talk about possible treatment for ADD. I'm 100% sure that Jonathan has it and has had it his whole life. He's really learned to manage it but this year at school it's been a challenge for him and he finally asked if he could get some help with it. It will be interesting to see if it will make a difference. One of the biggest side effects is weight loss which would be a good side effect for him. It may also mess up his sleeping and moods so we're doing it over break so that we can get the dose figured out as best as we can.

Your girls are just so wonderful. I love spending time with you and doing fun things. The festival was great, and I don't really think that people were staring at you because of their melt down at the end. I thought it was a pretty mild melt down. Anyway, every kid does it. I'm glad I'll see you soon for Christmas! Love you!
