Not as Easy

Okay, so this having two kids and being back at work thing isn't as easy as I had thought it would be. I can't seem to find time to post on my blog or get the laundry done like I could a few weeks ago. It's tough to leave my girls each evening, but it helps that Jonathan is a good and reliable Daddy. I know that he'll attend to their needs and he always gets them off to bed before I get home. A small part of me wishes that they'd have a harder time without me around so I could believe that they really need me there or everything falls apart. The truth is that they all do very well without me.

Right now, everyone except me has a little cold. Jonathan's started off with a fever and a really bad cough. The girls both have stuffy noses and Gwen has a little cough. We're hoping it all clears up for this weekend. This weekend my littlest sister, Megan is getting married. The day before that, Jonathan and my mom are graduating. We have some family coming for all the big happenings and I don't want them taking home our colds.

Here's Gwen in her pretty Easter dress before she went to church and got black dry erase marker all over it. Now her Easter dress is her very pretty play dress.

Emily's so cute in her frilly pink Easter dress from her Aunt Linda. I love getting to dress up my girls.Gwen loves Emily.Sometimes a little too much. I guess Emily didn't want to sit on Gwen's lap like Gwen wanted.

Gwen loved playing with all her cousins on Easter.

We've been spending a lot of time outside in the nice weather, especially out at our favorite place: Wheeler Farm.

Emily started smiling and giggling the last week or so. I caught some cute smiles on video.

Sometime soon I'm going to bring Noah down to go to Wheeler Farm with you guys. We had so much fun there for Gwen's bday last year. I'm excited to see you lots this weekend. Congrats to Jonathan for graduating. That's so neat!

My biggest shock is when the younger one starts to make messes. Boy how messy your house can get if you have two of them working at destroying it. Also, I think Jami gets a bad wrap being the second child because I notice the "naughty" things she does. Truthfully Sam probably did all the same "naughty" things, I just had more time to pick up the Tupperware out of the cupboard for the 5th time.

I hear every word of this. Being a working mom is hard x1 but it gets harder (like every other thing you try to do with kids) the more you add into the mix! You're right, they're ok (and you will be too, most of the time.)
(By the way, check out my blog! I think the last time I updated it was Oct. of LAST year!!!)
